The Playground Equipment

This is the playground equipment that they began to install. It will be fun.  I will probably love to play kickball on the new blacktop. This photo is of a spinny-magiga-thing.  There were four guys helping install. I think one of them works for the school. This is where the blue duplex was and they knocked it down a couple months ago.  On the left is were kickball will be, and on the right is where the playground is.

The Tour: Round 2

I chose this because it shows the stairs that go to the windows that show the gym.  It's really cool because you can look down at the other classes playing AND it's tornado proof because it is made out of cement.  This is the new staircase. It used to be the OLD main staircase too, when the school first opened.  This is the elevator shaft. This is the motor to the elevator.  This is the glass paneling. This is a picture of part of the gym. This guy was working up high. This is a picture of the future playground (and Reed's house, to remain). This is a picture of the air conditioning. This is the art room!  Ms. Cox will LOVE it! This is storage for the art room. Close to finished hallway. New floor and walls. Inside of a classroom. The storage.

The 7:49am Knock Down! An Update from Maximilian Biger

The blue house is down!  The playground will be here.   The best part was the weird noise of the crunching of the house.  The noise woke me up this morning. On the truck it said DEMOLITION.  Demolition means that they knock it down, they wreck it.  Link to a longer video, watch the house fall down! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1us1jcHysbbfnKIXsNfFJ4aUC0hqTnAuW/view?usp=sharing

Recap of the month: by Maximilian Biger

I found a big tube and I thought it would be cool to take a picture of the inside  and I was surprised because I thought I wouldn't be able to see the end.  I found several small tubes.  This is going to be the new entryway. Mrs. Prybil will be on the right.  But when your IN the building walking out your doors, it will on your left. I took this one just for no reason. I like the way it looks and there are lots of materials in the picture. I took this one because there was a school bus passing by and I thought it would be cool. They tore out part of the sidewalk and the color of the new one DOES NOT MATCH. Which I am pretty confused about.  I took this picture because I knew that the blue house is going to be torn down. Not yet. My mother took this from the window of her bedroom. Because it shows what the project looks like from afar.

SPECIAL EDITION! INSIDE TOUR! By Maximilian Biger

I got to take a tour of Mann. I made a slide show of my photos to share. Read it here. Mom's note: If you click on the Present Key on the top right, you can view Max's slideshow in full screen.  We are very thankful to Duane Van Helmert, Ryan Engrav, and Julie Robinson for giving Max this special opportunity to learn more about the construction process. Truly an educational experience!

Weeks 13-15 Review by Maximilian Biger

The gym walls are poured! I saw a man smoothing the new library floor. The blue house is still there!  But the windows are gone. In the fridge there was a bag of meat left.  The Salvage Barn came and took things.

Night Walk: Review by Maximilian Biger

There was a full moon when I was taking pictures.  There were lights on in the building, so I could see inside. There were lots of trucks. I like the sign because most construction sites have Danger signs. I took a picture of the port-a-potties because every site should have port-a-potties in case the construction workers have to go to the bathroom. I took a picture of the piping because I bet they are going to use it for the gym.  Maybe bend it for the basketball courts?
